Temperatures of over 1832 °F (1000 °C) are often measured in industrial processes. If raw materials, components or semi-finished products are exposed to great heat during their processing, uncontrolled scaling occurs. If this is not removed, it can have a negative influence on subsequent work processes. In the worst case scaling results in material loss or wastage, for example where deep scaling holes render rollers unusable. Resistant coating solutions offer long-term scaling protection in this case.
DELTA-HEAT®, developed by DÖRKEN, is suitable for use in areas with scaling. The silvery, water-based coating contains aluminum and can be applied individually and directly to components at various stages – for example prior to curing, annealing or hot stamping processes. The coating subsequently hardens at room temperature. With the application of heat (up to a maximum of 2192 °F/1200 °C) the high-performance topcoat comes into effect, with the aluminum flakes melting into the coating. They form a fixed layer that adheres to the substrate – an aluminum oxide. This inert protective coat prevents oxygen, which attempts to penetrate the material, from making its way to the substrate. This enables the oxidation and scaling formation there to be reduced by up to 80 percent.
Since September 2023, we have transferred the product group of scale protection products to the internationally active company NÜSSLE GmbH & Co. KG.
The company NÜSSLE GmbH & Co. KG, based in GER-Nagold, is part of the BURGDORF-OSMIROL-NÜSSLE group of companies (bonGroup), which specializes in the heat treatment of metals, and is the world market leader in the development, manufacture and application technology consulting of anti-corrosion and anti-scaling agents for steel hardening (https://www.bongroup.de/en/companies/nuessle/).
NUSSLE's specialists will be happy to assist you as competent partners, answer your questions and fill your orders.
