Coil coating is a continuous coating process with coating materials for metal straps, e.g. steel, aluminum, stainless steel etc., in which a composite material is created.
The coil coating procedure is best explained by “finish first, fabricate later”. The coils are first coated before being wound, cut, pressed, profiled, drawn, joined and bonded until the end product is a coil. This procedure is therefore the opposite of the normally typical coating of individual parts.
