Dip-Draw

For parts of special geometry, such as tubes, plates or more complex geometries is the Tauchziehen - immersion in the paint and pulling out under defined conditions. This makes it possible to coat the inside and outside of pipes in one process step.

The most important parameters in the dipping process are size and geometry. The parts should have enough openings from which the paint can drain when pulling out. If punctual paint accumulations - z. B. in corners - arise when burning through the boiling of the solvent to blistering and it is achieved at this point no proper coating.
Ventilation of the components to avoid air bubbles must be ensured as otherwise it leads to uncoated defects.

The process of dip-drawing is influenced by several parameters. The most important are:

  • Immersion time
  • Withdrawal speed
  • Viscosity
  • Paint and part temperature
