Corrosion tests in artificial atmospheres

Corrosion testing is a major part of today's common quality testing for surfaces. In this seminar, we will look together at everything to do with neutral salt spray testing and the most common alternating climate tests, including a critical look at the standards. Furthermore, there will be a brief insight into the field of coating thickness measurement methods and mechanical testing.

What can you expect?

Guaranteed to be user-friendly with little theory and a large practical part!

The aim of this seminar is to provide a basic, practice-oriented introduction to the subject of corrosion testing.

  • Corrosion types, mechanisms and protection
  • Basic knowledge and critical view DIN EN ISO 9227 - NSS
  • Brief comparison of common alternating climate tests
  • Evaluation of corrosion tests
  • Short overview of coating thickness measurement (cross section, magnetic inductive and X-Ray)
  • Pre-damage (stone chip and defined scribe)
  • Adhesion tests (tape test, cross cut and mandrel bending test)
